I'm swamped

To-do list for the next week and a couple days:
All of this may or may not need to be accomplished four days early because I might be without Internet for next weekend. But I might not be? Ugh, I hate not being able to plan things. I guess it's a good thing I didn't decide to go to Dragon*Con, though, because I'd definitely be missing it.
If this all does need to be accomplished four days early, then I have to queue the Carnival of Aces round-up. And there was a sign that the Carnival might be trolled, and it's going to really suck if I come back to an inbox/Tumblr/Dreamwidth full of hateful messages or messages that other people have been trolled. And I know I shouldn't feel this way, but guilt is my superpower, and I feel like maybe the topic I chose for this month's Carnival is why there's signs it might be trolled this month of all months.
- Finish discussion board postings for this week
- Read, read, read
- Research, outline, draft, edit, turn-in essay
- Finish discussion board postings for next week
- Read some more
- Finish 5,000 more words of a Big Bang so I can turn in the draft
- Post Carnival of Aces round-up and hope there's no trolling
- Plan country's 500th anniversary
- Arrange my wedding
- Murder my wife and frame Guilder

As a heads up, usually a TON of carnival entries come in at the very last possible moment, so you might want to put a note on the round-up post to the effect that you'll update the post entries when you get back.
Also, I am sad you will not be coming to Dragon*Con but I totally get the "way too busy" thing. (I am also probably too busy to go, but this will be my first time going ever, so work will just have to wait. Or I'm going to be reduced to attempting to study at night, since my group's not staying in a hotel. Whichever.)

Date: 2011-08-27 06:19 pm (UTC)Ah, I hadn't thought about that. The plan is that even if I'm stuck there, someone will let me into a neighbor's or drive me to a wifi cafe, so I should get at least a few hours with Internet. But if it turns out I won't have it for the weekend I'll put up a note, that's a good idea.
I may try to go next year, since next year may be my last year actually living in Atlanta during D*C time. But aside from homework and stuff I may have to watch over a relative who can't be left alone (it was supposed to be this week, but, hurricane). I hope your time there is fun, though! Are you cosplaying?
